Microdermabrasion

What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a skin treatment that exfoliate dead skin cells from the skin's surface with aluminum oxide crystals, giving the skin a smooth, radiant glow. Microdermabrasion diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, refines the pores and reduces thickened areas of the skin. It is reported to also lighten hyperpigmented lesions caused by the sun and improve the appearance of acne scarring.
Are aluminum oxide crystals safe?
Yes. It is the proper material to use for the microdermabrasion procedure. The crystals are non-toxic for ingestion and are not associated with adverse skin reactions. Aluminum oxide is not a known carcinogen.
Chemical Peel

What is a chemical peel?
Our chemical peels are superficial epidermic peels using lactic, kojic and ascorbic acids. The peels are designed for skin in need of a "boost". If your skin is sun damaged, dehydrated, lifeless, or asphyxiated from smoking, the peel is for you.
What does it feel like?
A slight to moderate tingling sensation is normal during the procedure. The peel is applied in layers (up to four) depending on the client. Once the peel is neutralized (after about 2 minutes), the tingling will subside.
How much peeling can I expect?
Slight to moderated peeling can be expected, depending on how many layers have been applied. The peeling can last up to 5 days. You can expect to carry on your usual daily tasks.
What can I expect my skin to look like once the peeling has subsided?
The skin will be plump, bright, firm and hydrated. You will love the results!
How many peels are necessary to get the desired results?
Depending on your specific need, a series of peels may be necessary to get the desired cosmetic result.
Laser Hair Removal

Is laser hair removal safe?
Yes. The laser only targets the melanin in the hair follicle and does not damage the skin.
Is Laser Hair Removal Effective?
Yes. The laser we have chosen is FDA approved and offers fast results with the least amount of discomfort.
How many treatments are necessary?
At least 6 sessions are necessary to achieve desired clearance. Hair can only be treated while in the "active growth stage". Because hair grows in cycles, only some hair is in the active growth stage at any given time, which is why several sessions are necessary.
Is the treatment painful?
Clients will experience what is described as a "hot pinch". The sensation lasts for just a fraction of a second. Our laser has a "chiller" which cools the skin and neutralizes any discomfort. Numbing cream is available if you are extremely sensitive.
What can I expect my skin to look like once the peeling has subsided?
The skin will be plump, bright, firm and hydrated. You will love the results!
What kind of results can I expect from each treatment?
After each treatment, you can expect the hair to grow back at a slower rate. Each time the hair will be lighter in color and finer in texture. Most people respond after 6 treatments and have achieved the desired amount of clearance
How frequent are the treatments?
Depending on the area, treatments are scheduled between 6-8 weeks.
What happens after each treatment?
The skin temporarily turns pink. This lasts a very short time and you may resume normal activities immediately after your treatment. The treated area will shed some hair over the next 2-4 weeks and you may experience hairlessness in that area as you await your next treatment.
Vascular Treatment

Who is a good candidate for vascular treatments?
Anyone who has concerns about broken capillaries, spider veins, or small superficial veins on the face or body. The treatment is safe for all skin types. Varicose or raised veins cannot be treated.
How many treatments are necessary?
Most people see great results after just one treatment. In some cases, spider veins will continue to appear and may have to be treated more frequently.
Is the treatment safe?
Yes. Vascular therapy is safe and effective for all skin types and colors.
How do vascular treatments work?
The heat from the laser is absorbed by the blood vessels, but not the surrounding tissue. The blood vessel coagulates and is then absorbed into the body. The vein is then destroyed. It can take up to two weeks for the vein to disappear completely.
Is there any down time?
No. You may resume normal activities immediately following the procedure. Rigorous activity should be avoided for 24 hours. If bruising occurs, it usually dissipates within a week.
